Daily Prompt: Land of Confusion| My History With History

Report card day was never a discouraging day for me. I excelled in math. English was a piece of cake. French, not a problem!  Science, I enjoyed ever minute of it. There was just one course, no mater what the subject was, I just could not find a way to do well in this type of course. These troublesome courses were my history courses. World, American, Black, Art, Music, you name it I struggled with it.  I had one history teacher, who I asked before a test,  if I could take the test in green ink. His reply was, “That’s fine, it’ll just be a Christmas test.” (Since he graded in red)

History was not my subject. There were just too many people, places, and dates to remember. There was no application of anything learned or hands-on activities. My history classes bored me, and I had absolutely no interest in the information that was being taught. These classes required lots of study hours just to get a “B”. I honestly didn’t work harder in my advance math classes!  History was definitely a land of confusion for me.
